Slash of Guns N Roses Live in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur - Monday 15 June 2010 - Firefly, your community airline, today proudly announced the launch of its first-ever concert in Kuala Lumpur, featuring Slash Live in Kuala Lumpur 2010 Concert, which would take place at the Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park on 5 August 2010. Slash is the world renowned former lead guitarist of the Guns N Roses fame.

"It's a privilege for Firefly to bring in a guitar legend like Slash to Malaysia. Slash transcends the age divide with kids as young as 18 to adults as old as 50 years old. His music is pure rock, going back to the time when music was just with drums, bass and guitar only. No rapping, no keyboards, just the classic rhythm section. I am sure that the performance will thrill all his fans and they can expect the concert to be a rocking good one," said Ms Angelina Fernandez, Head of Marketing and Communications.

Angelina added that this will be the first of many concerts that Firefly is organizing in and outside of Malaysia as their intention is to position themselves as an airline that brings in fun and joy back into flying. Ultimately, Firefly's objective in organizing this concert is to bring people together keeping to its tagline of "Your Community Airline".

Additionally, this is also the best opportunity for those new customers to try out Firefly flights and at the same time being able to enjoy entertainment by the more authentic showcase of music and live performance by internationally known recording artistes.

At this concert, fans will be able to see Slash performing tracks from his debut solo album and other hits from Guns N Roses, such as "Sweet Child Of Mine" and "Paradise City".
