“We are embracing the New Year spirit by offering Malaysians and tourists travelling within the country flight options for their warm weather escapes with various new services that we currently offer. We strive to make travel within Peninsular Malaysia or neighboring countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia a convenient and trouble-free experience”,said Ignatius Ong, Firefly’s Chief Executive Officer.

International travelers are not forgotten. Tickets for Firefly’s international destinations are being offered on a promotional price starting from RM105 for destinations such as Singapore, Krabi, Phuket and Koh Samui.

In addition to offering these services, the airline operates with ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600. Firefly Airlines would like to inform that the following donation centers shall be temporarily closed:

  1. Subang Skypark Terminal from 1-3 January 2015. Re-opens on 4 January 2015.
  2. Penang International Airport from 3-6 January 2015. Reopens on 7 January 2015.

All centers including in Sultan Ismail Petra airport will be closed officially on 9 January 2015 (Friday, 5pm).

During the temporary closure, we will not be accepting any donation drop-off from members of the public. The closure is necessary in order to allow Firefly to clear all cargo that is scheduled for shipment as it has reached its maximum cargo capacity. Donors are also advised to use ground transportation as most major roads heading towards Kota Bharu are now open to all traffic due to the improving flood situation in Kelantan. As such, humanitarian aid can now easily be transported to areas that were previously inaccessible by roads.

Donors are reminded to ensure that items are packed properly in boxes, sealed and then labelled before dropping them off at any of the three donation centers and to habitually check Firefly’s facebook and twitter for any new updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
