Malaysia Airlines Gears Up for MITM Fair 2013

The national carrier will be offering discounts of up to 50% on selected destinations

Subang, 2 October 2013: Malaysia Airlines will be participating in the Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) 2013 and will offer travel enthusiasts a wide range of value for money deals and travel packages with discounts up to 50% on selected destinations with travel period from 6 October 2013 until 30 September 2014.

Malaysia Airlines’ will be the official airline for MITM 2013 and will have both virtual and physical presence this year.

The physical fair will be held at Hall 3 of the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre from 4 till 6 October 2013. For the convenience of customers outside Klang Valley, tickets can also be purchased via, Malaysia Airlines’ Call Centre at 1-300-88-3000 and ticketing offices from 3 until 14 August 2013.

Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Senior Vice President Malaysia, Muzammil Mohamad said, “This is a good opportunity for customers to grab value deals for air travel and vacations while enjoying our Malaysian Hospitality at the same time. It is also a good platform for the airline to foster ties with its key partners to develop tourism resources for better travel options.

It’s all inclusive return economy class fares start at attractive prices from RM339 to popular and affordable regional destinations like Jakarta, Phuket and Yangon; from RM939 to Chennai, Dhaka and Kochi; from RM739 to Kunming and from RM3459 to Los Angeles. Customers planning on flying to Australia can do so from only RM1009 to Darwin and RM1109 to Perth. Those heading to Dubai can opt to fly all-inclusive return economy from RM1809 and to London, Frankfurt or Amsterdam from  RM2889.

Customers can purchase all inclusive business return airfares to any destinations in Asia; starting from as low as RM659 to Medan, RM1059 to Bali, Ho Chi Minh, Bandar Seri Begawan and RM1359 to Bangkok.

Besides international destinations, Malaysia Airlines is also offering affordable all-in return economy airfares on its domestic routes from as low as RM140 to Miri, RM200 to Kota Kinabalu and RM300 to Tawau. All-inclusive return flights to Alor Setar, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu and Johor Bharu start from RM180 whilst Kota Bharu and Penang start from RM160.

Meanwhile, oneworld all-inclusive return economy fares via British Airways, American Airlines, Japan Airlines, Dragonair and Qantas start from RM3089 to Rome, Lisbon, Vienna, Munich, Manchester, Oslo, Madrid, RM3889 to San Francisco, New York, Boston whilst business class fares start from RM2559 to Changsa, Chengdu and Fuzhou, RM6659 to Gold Coast, Broome, Hobart and Cairns.

Malaysia Airlines subsidiary, Firefly is also offering travel packages departing conveniently from its hub in Subang. Packages on offer are 3D/2N to Universal Studios Singapore from RM969, Free & Easy 3D/2N trip to Langkawi from RM409 and 3D/2N Free & Easy package to Koh Samui from RM759.

Firefly’s current campaign, Irresistibly Sexy RM35 which is currently running, will offer fares from RM35 all-in one way to the airlines’ domestic destinations and RM105 all-in one way to international routes, available for travel from 23 October 2013 until 25 October 2014. Now, Enrich members are able to earn and redeem Enrich miles when they purchase Firefly tickets.

Those attending the physical fair can also sign up as an Enrich member and receive additional 1,000 Enrich miles as a bonus gift, whilst existing members can redeem RM50 vouchers for only 3,000 Enrich Miles instead of 3,500 Enrich Miles.

Its social media booth will also be filled with fun and games such as Twitter Trivia and Land the Plane contest during the 3-day travel fair.
