Firefly Expands Its Wings With Jet Operations

On 11 April 2022, Firefly officially commenced its operation on Boeing 737-800s from Penang (PEN) to Johor Bahru (JHB), Kota Kinabalu (BKI), and Kuching (KCH), offering comfort and convenience for passengers travelling to and from major cities in Malaysia.

This comes at an apt time as Firefly rings its 15th anniversary since it first started operations in April 2007, as well as the recent reopening of Malaysia’s borders, signifying growth that will further strengthen the airline’s services and offerings for all its guests.

Today, Firefly has expanded its routes from Penang via the jets to several destinations, including Phuket, Banda Aceh and more destinations in the upcoming 2023.
