Firefly reaches out to government agencies in Pahang to promote new route

Kuantan – Firefly is reaching out to government agencies in Pahang to highlight its new twice daily services between Subang and Kuantan.

Its Marketing & Communications Head, Angelina C Fernandez, said: “Our findings have shown there is a substantial amount of government agencies movement between Kuantan and Subang. This is from government employees who make regular trips to Kuala Lumpur for meetings and training purposes.

“To further tap this market, our sales team regularly conducts product briefings tailored to government agencies where we stress on the convenience of our direct flights to Subang City Airport, which is a mere 20 minute drive from the city centre. We also highlight our convenient flight timings which benefits day trippers and the benefits of our booking terms which provides passengers with full flexibility to make flight amendments.”

During a recent product briefing, Pahang Traffic Staff Officer DSP Mohd Rizal Abdullah described Firefly as being a “true community airline” as it emphasizes on passenger convenience by providing web check-in facilities, direct debit payment options as well as good in-flight services.

Firefly has also been reaching out to motorists, business travellers and bus commuters in Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan to promote this route. The Subang – Kuantan services was reintroduced on October 30, 2011 following its suspension in early September 2009 due to lack of aircraft.

Background on Firefly

Firefly, a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, began operations in April 2007.
