Firefly goes all-out at second day of KL MATTA

12 Mar 2011

Kuala Lumpur: Firefly, Your Community Airline, received overwhelming response with the longest queue ever with their money back guarantee packages on the second day of KL MATTA Fair. With the courteous and outstanding Firefly team members in bright green, there have not been an empty chair at its booth since the doors at Hall 3, of Putra Trade World Centre (PWTC) were opened at 10am today. Manned by actual sales booth of 25 stations, the booth was in a heated phase in order to meet the demand of inquiries and purchases throughout these two days.

“This is the second day of our participation at this year’s KL MATTA Fair and the response has been noticeably more encouraging than yesterday when the three-day affair begun. Despite many other options on-site, the team was yet going nuts in a frantic pace of attending to customers’ need persistently all day long!” said Firefly’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Ms.Angelina Fernandez.

“We trust that the competition is healthy for the business and positively attracts more crowds to our booth seeing that we are offering the best deals which are unbeatable guaranteed packages on-site. Additionally, the rewards up to RM 300, 000 that we are giving away in partnership with Malaysia Airlines, Maxis, Chartis Insurance and UOB, further enhances our presence, thus contributing to sales rates,” she added.

This year Firefly makes a double hit with its money back guaranteed holiday packages and its BIG rewards which enables its customers to experience added value for their purchases at KL MATTA Fair from 11 to 13 March.

“To our pleasant findings, the response is in fact greater than last year with high percentage of sales on both domestic and international flights, especially on the best bargain deals on Firefly’s incredible holiday packages. Our packages to Koh Samui were the hot buying items, and up to the second quarter of this year, Koh Samui's packages have been 70% snapped up. On the local front, our packages to Langkawi and Kota Kinabalu for the same period have been 60% per cent sold” she added.

Firefly reassured its added value on promotional packages, when another customer walked away with the latest iPhone-4 upon purchase of a package to Redang Island,Kuala Terengganu for two, worth RM 1090. This lucky draw is done daily on-site in partnership with Maxis, whereby all Firefly package purchasers will also get a Maxis gift bag consisting its merchandise.

“I was rather shocked when I found out that I was the lucky one. It’s great that Firefly rewards amazing prizes to purchasers, which I am sure will make customers up-coming holiday a more valuable one. This without a doubt will encourage them to come back for more at future fairs” said the elated Nuriznina.

A public engaging quiz session held during the event was an exciting highlight as visitors of MATTA rushed to answer questions on the background and growth of Firefly. Free return flight tickets to Firefly’s new East Malaysia routes and merchandise were given away.

There are still plenty of great prizes to be won as only a fraction of prizes worth RM 300,000 have been given away. Firefly is expecting another huge turnout tomorrow, 13 Mac which is the final day of the KL MATTA Fair. Therefore, holiday makers are advised to come in early to grab the best bargain deals in town.

All promotional packages are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, whereby they are exclusively offered on-site only.
