FIREFLY will NOT impose fuel surcharge
9 May 2011
SUBANG – Firefly, Your Community Airline announced today that they will continue to absorb the increases in fuel prices and not impose any fuel surcharge to its passengers even after other local airlines have announced the implementation of a fuel surcharge.
In a statement issued today, its Managing Director Eddy Leong said “Being your community airline, it is our commitment to offer the lowest fares and provide amazing 5-star value to our customers. We acknowledge that we are not spared from the impact of increasing fuel prices, however in keeping to our promise of providing guaranteed low fares, we will not be imposing a fuel surcharge in the foreseeable future.
He explained that Firefly’s fare structure and pricing strategies have already taken into account the off peak and high peak cycles, and both early bird buyers and last minute shoppers. Our passengers can anticipate guaranteed lowest fares with discounts on offer of up to 80 percent or in some instances even ZERO fare. As always, advance or early purchases of flight tickets have the best chances of enjoying our lowest fare guarantee.
Even during the high peak period such as festive seasons, school and year end holidays, Firefly will still be offering attractive and value for money packages with the best deals in town. For this high peak period and also those who purchase at the very last minute, Firefly’s promise is that we will not go beyond our normal fare structure.
Firefly is sensitive to the current economic challenges faced by our customers, be it business or leisure travellers alike, and we are committed to deliver on our promise to provide guaranteed low fares.
