Firefly Ticketing Office Opens In Terminal 3

Subang, 22 January 2009,– Firefly, Your Community Airline, launched the opening of its Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport ticketing office today, marking the airline's first storefront in the Klang Valley. Firefly is the first commercial airline to operate out of Terminal 3 in Subang since the move of airport operations to KLIA in 1998.
The move to open a storefront at the airport in Subang is in line with Firefly's expansion plan in terms of ticket sales and distribution. The brand new ticketing office donned the bright corporate orange Firefly logo, with three counters and ample of space for waiting patrons.
"It's a moment we've all been waiting for since the renovation of the airport began. With the Terminal 3 coming up nicely, we are pleased to extend the convenience and comfort of our services through the ticketing office as this is in line with the completion of the project by Subang Skypark in making the terminal a lifestyle hub for travelers," said Firefly Managing Director, Eddy Leong during his welcome speech.
The convenience of Terminal 3 is further emphasized in his statement. “Subang is a special place for all of us as it gives our passengers the travel convenience that they need. With the renovation of the first phase almost complete, our passengers will now be able to navigate their way around within the airport with more ease and comfort as well as enjoy the retail offerings that is now available here,” he said.
Firefly will be opening more airport ticketing office in stages to the destinations it flies to as the airline now has the size and scale as well as the routes to expand its reach. Already in the pipeline are the Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan airport ticketing offices in the making.
Yet another feature to enhance the travelling experience when flying from Subang is the Firefly passenger lounge where it caters to Firefly’s frequent flyers. Located on level 1 of the terminal, the passenger’s lounge will be by exclusive invitation only.
In conjunction with the opening of the ticketing office, Firefly is offering complimentary one night hotel stay courtesy of Sheraton Subang Hotel and Towers to the first ten people to purchase any Firefly ticket from the airport ticketing office in Terminal 3, from 23 January 2009 onwards. The airport ticketing office opens daily from 5.30 am to 9.00 pm.
