Firefly Opens Kuantan - Singapore Route
Kuantan, 8 July 2009 – At an event hosted by the State Government of Pahang, Firefly today announced the commencement of its highly anticipated Singapore-Kuantan route at a press conference attended by Travel Agents, Hoteliers, Corporate Companies and Business Associations, as well as Airlines and Aviation industry representatives.
Firefly's first entrance into Singapore skies from Pahang is slated for departure from Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport on the 22nd of July at 1530 arriving Singapore Changi Budget Terminal at 1630. This four times weekly route is very much targeted to the leisure community offering point to point connection at incredible value with low fares.
Pahang is a well-known holiday destination among Singaporeans for its pristine beaches and a whole range of sea activities. "This route reflects our commitment to the Pahang State Government to help spur and increase tourism economy. We will be promoting many well known packages in Pahang such as to Pulau Tioman, a popularly known place for diving, family fun, relax and also as a pampered getaway. We will also be promoting other alternative packages with our travel agents during monsoon season for adventure getaway to Taman Negara" said Eddy Leong, Managing Director of Firefly.
"At the same time this route will also complement the intention by the Pahang Government to further develop the state's other economic assets besides timber," added Eddy Leong.
Firefly's other new Singapore routes will also begin in stages in the month of July (schedule attached).
