Firefly Offers Additional Payment Options

Kuala Lumpur — Firefly is pleased to announce that it has introduced an additional payment option in its continuous effort to make it easy and convenient for customers to purchase Firefly flight tickets.

Besides cash and credit cards, customers can also pay using Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) cards, thanks to the collaboration with banking institutions that provide its customers with ATM cards that bear the ‘Bankcard’ logo. ATM card holders only need to present their ATM cards and enter their Personal Identity Number (PIN) when prompted by the card reader terminal. Upon successful transaction, customer will be provided with transaction slip and flight itinerary slip for reference.

“This cashless transaction benefits our customers as it enhances security whilst eliminates manpower issues related to cash transactions. Given this, we believe there is great opportunity to increase the use of ATM cards in Malaysia as a safe and efficient payment option,” Eddy Leong, Managing Director of Firefly, explained.

Firefly has made available this new payment option using ATM cards on June 16, 2008. This payment facility is available for air tickets purchases in Malaysian ringgit at Firefly’s ticketing counters in Subang Airport and Penang Airport, as well as at its sales office at Komtar, Penang. More details can be obtained from www.fireflyz.com.my or Firefly’s Call Centre at 03 7845 4543.
