Subang, 9 January 2009 – Firefly, Your Community Airline, announced another new route today, their first, twice-daily flight from Subang to Kerteh scheduled on 12 January 2009, signifying the carrier's commitment in expanding its domestic network.

This new route into Kerteh is the first to be offered by a local based airline. With this new addition, Firefly now serves 2 destination in Terengganu namely Kuala Terengganu and Kerteh.

Managing Director of Firefly, Mr. Eddy Leong said, "We are pleased to offer this new route to Kerteh. This route is Firefly's commitment in providing alternative, affordable travel for all Malaysians. The main objective is to provide alternative transportation into and out of Kerteh that is economical, both in terms of time and money. In addition, to this Kerteh route will also add convenience to leisure travellers, as well-known tourism spots such as Kijal and Cherating is just a few minutes drive from the Kerteh airport.

Firefly's "Totally Un-Fare!" continues with its daily low fares offerings. As on 6 January 2009, there are 112,251 seats left, from as low as RM53 for all Domestic flights.
