Station Manager, Kerteh

The Airport Station Manager is responsible for the smooth and safe operations of Firefly Airlines at Kerteh Airport in accordance with procedures laid down by Firefly and the various regulatory agencies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage all aspects of airline station management.
  • Demonstrate leadership by possessing a positive attitude.
  • Able to manage customer expectations and relay feedback from customer to higher management.
  • Maintain and foster positive business relationships with local airport authority and agencies as well as build and maintain positive business relationships with contract carriers
  • Timely and responsible communication with all departments and management
  • Assure and promote staff development
  • Manage station staffing levels and budgeting
  • Ensure that all employees meet initial and recurrent training requirements
  • Assist other departments within Firefly.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and station performance planning
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in the aviation industry, required
  • Experience in working with airport and regulatory agencies.
  • Able and willing to work non-standard hours.
  • Excellent communication and excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to interact effectively with others
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Office and Excel
  • Must possess a genuine desire to serve internal and external customers, build relationships and work collaboratively
  • Able to multi-task in a stressful environment required
  • Strong customer service and strong oral/written communication skills required (English / Bahasa Malaysia).

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Maintain the serviceability of aircraft operating into/out of SZB and all line stations in accordance with FIREFLY, DCA and other regulatory requirements and ensure smooth daily line operations and coordination of maintenance operational activities with MAS EMD and flight operations with OCFY.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be familiar, understand and update on company and department objectives, policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Carrying out the operating policies, procedures and instructions as issued from time to time.
  • Carrying out and certify transit handling, night stop, inspection, servicing, maintenance repair and rectification of FIREFLY aircraft.
  • Brief Duty Engineer Line Maintenance on the defect status on the aircraft and feedback to duty engineer on the progress of maintenance work on the aircraft.
  • Identify and pre load spares in advance of aircraft arrival and kept informed of the aircraft incoming defect.
  • Brief/debrief flight crew on aircraft defect.
  • Ensure apron is clean and kept clear of FOD and ground equipment before arrival and pre-departure of aircraft.
  • Raise delay report, accident and occurrence report when necessary.
  • Undertake supervision of staff assigned to the aircraft and ensure Technicians and Junior Technicians as assigned are sufficiently equipped with tools and staff are briefed on the work to be done on the aircraft.
  • Perform the duty of travelling engineer when so advised as well as travel to other station for station relief duty and/or to assist in rescuing disabled grounded aircraft.
  • Carry out any other tasks as directed by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Possess valid AMEL licence preferably with ATR72 rated.
  • Operational experience in a line maintenance environment will be an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on safety and quality
  • Principles and practices of supervision, training and personnel management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels and to resolve any issue arises.

Ground Operations Officer ( Based in Subang/Penang)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond to customer enquiries on product, reservations and ticketing matters
  • Deliver professional check-in service at the airport
  • Meet, greet, and assist passengers at boarding gates, on departure and arrival.
  • To announce the flight details and keep passengers informed
  • To monitor and ensure smooth baggage movement
  • To handle and restore unclaimed checked and unchecked baggage
  • To adhere to the company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent
  • Malaysian citizen, age between 18 to 35 years old
  • Experience in airline industry baggage handling is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills, pleasant personality, customer oriented and hospitable
  • Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia both written and verbal
  • Able to work on weekends, Public Holidays and shifts
  • Possess own transport

FLIGHT OPERATIONS

Captain (ATR Rated)

  • Must hold a valid Malaysian ATPL license (inclusive of a valid medical certificate)
  • Must have at least 3,500 flying hours with 1,000 PIC hours
  • Experience in commercial airline is an added advantage
