Recently had the opportunity to fly with Firefly on several flights (SIN-SZB, SZB-PEN, PEN-HKT, HKT-PEN, PEN-SZB, SZB-SIN) and have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the services I received both on the ground as well as in the air. Baggage reclaim was always prompt and without delay, check-in was quick and hassle free. Best of all, the departures were always on time and without delay. Needless to say, I shall be flying again with yourselves on the next available opportunity. Please keep up the good work!

More Experiences

Here I would like to thank fire fly services which I am frequently using from Subang Airport to Kuala Terengganu as well as to Kota Baru.

Base on my experience, I am very delighted with the service provided especially at the Terminal 3 Subang Airport.

My Sincere thanks to Ms Shirley Teoh - Duty Manager - Firefly Sdn Bhd who has been very very responsive in providing her cooperation at the check in counter and as well as at the boarding counter.

She has this real and genuine smile which gives each of the passenger to actually strike a conversation with her and she gives a full confidence of her responsibility especially in the areas where she ensures there is no quees waiting at the boarding areas.

Lastly, my best wishes to firefly and may this organization have more employees such as Ms Shirley Teoh in providing this customer experience to other passenger.

On 26 January 2010, I flew on Firefly FY3525 for the very first time from Subang to Singapore. The check-in process at Subang was very smooth and the counter staff was very courteous and efficient. I breezed through Immigration and after that I was at the waiting area for a short while before boarding began. Again I found the boarding process hassle free. The ground staff facilitated the boarding in a courteous and professional manner. In particular, I would like to commend Shirley who greeted every passenger as she attended to them and addressed each one by name and thanked them. I was quite impressed with the warm touch provided by the ground staff.

Onboard the aircraft, I was equally impressed with the well-kept interior. I've flown on many ATRs belonging to various operators in other parts of the world and this is the best maintained ATR aircraft that I've been on. The landing at Changi was smooth and overall I had a very positive experience on Firefly starting from check-in to arrival. I will definitely look forward to my next flight on Firefly. Thank you for a very pleasant flight!

I was travelling on flight FY2063 on 3rd Jan 2010 from Kota Bharu to Subang. Everything was fine from the boarding until the flight takes off. Since i had sleepless night the night before, plus I do have a low blood pressure, my head started spinning. So, i informed the cabin crew about my condition. I am very satisfied with the way they had handled the situation. They are calm and very professional in handling the situation.

Once the flight reaches SZB, the ground crew takes over. The best part is, even though there are no medical personnel and lack of medical emergency equipments (emergency room especially), the crews take a good care of me, my belongings and also waited for my family member to fetch me. For that, I would like to thanks them for their effort of bringing a very good name and reputation to their company even though they are quite 'young' in the industry. Thank you and all the best.

Hello there!

I am a passenger just want to give a compliment to Sharifah Razak, the ground staff because she very nice to me.

Today 31 Jan 2010 I take the flight to Penang fy 2088 at 11.20am. After I check in, I speak with En Azman Zanoo by phone. (the airport manager, Terminal 3.) I already tell about her service to En Azman.

1st of all, I would like to congratulate on your services from the check in counter till the end of our journey. During my flight to Langkawi, cabin crew serves us muffin/peanuts & refills our drink. The cabin crew offered the muffin & peanuts in the basket and I can take as many I want. I’m so happy with the service. But during my fly back to Subang, I ask for 1 muffin & 1 peanut. The cabin crew said “you can only take 1 either peanut or muffin”. How come the service is different, 1 small packet of peanuts cost around 50 cents and they really count on it. Instead the flight should depart at 2:25pm but then re-time to 3:30pm.

You should consider serving your passenger with more snacks after waiting for 1 hour at the airport. After waiting for 1 hour at the airport for nothing & 1 hour on board, the only thing that I got is 1 small packet of peanuts. Hope you can advice on this.

My name is Rudi hermawi. I was on your flight from Koh Samui to Subang on the 1st November 2009. I was seated at row11a.

This was my first time travelling on Firefly and it was indeed a pleasant experience. Your cabin crew, Chloe and Hazlina, constantly had smiles on their face which really is the essence of the service industry. I was a cabin crew with Singapore airlines and they reminded me how enjoyable the work can be. Kudos to Chloe and Hazlina for a job well done.

My mum gets the wheel chair (rent) plus an escort all the way during her trip from Alor Setar to Subang Airport (right at the arrival door). I have already purchased the flight ticket from Firefly from Alor Setar to Singapore. I would like to thank Firefly for having direct flight from Alor Setar-Singapore-Alor Setar. The whole journey will be 1.5 hours instead of 12 hours. It gives a lot of conveniences to people like me, who is working in Singapore with parents staying in Alor Setar. I am looking forwards to more promotion from Firefly. I used to be Air Asia fan.. and I believe Firefly will be the next.

I was very privileged to on the maiden Firefly Airlines flight from Singapore to Subang on the 1st July 2009. I am absolutely delighted to have been part of the experience. My work trip to KL from the 1st to the 2nd of July was fabulous, and it all began with the flight into Subang on Firefly!

The flying experience was special, the aircraft was comfortable and what can I say about the friendly community smile on the cabin crews faces? Simply wonderful!

My thanks to the crew who made it an awesome journey, Val, Hazlina and Orchid, whose names and smiles I remember.

Checking in and airport movement at Subang and at the Changi Budget terminal was also smooth and pleasant.

All in all, it was a great journey, I am sure this is so because, you have thought out of everything that is needed to make it special for your passengers.

Penerbangan yang amat selesa dan sungguh menyeronokkan dengan layanan pramugari yang lemah lembut dan santun.Penerbangan ke Langkawi 25-28 Mei 2009 yang lalu adalah suatu penerbangan yang tidak dapat dilupakan.

I flew Firefly on 25th May 2009 to Koh Samui. This was my first time since I was a kid on a propeller plane. I found Firefly's stewardess' friendlier than Airasia's and their language skills great! The pilot flew and landed very smoothly.The flight was very good and I truly enjoyed the 2 hour trip. The return on 27th was also a great. I can't wait for more destinations. Maybe a flight to Kuching?

The experience I had with Azman is a classic case of Customer Experience where simple gestures can go a long way. I was deeply disappointed when my flight to KB was re-routed but the experience rendered by Azman during my short stay at Subang Airport was superb. He managed to turn a disappointed customer into a loyal customer for life. Keep up the good work and you are truly an asset to Firefly.

In the future, it would be great if the Firefly website can have a website/blog to share the 'stories' of your staff and operations in ensuring the smoothness of your daily operations. This would certainly help the airline to bridge the gap with the community.

In short, I believe Firefly can go far into becoming a serious contender in Malaysian and ASEAN market thanks to your ever expanding route network, great product offerings and of course the excellent 5-star cabin crew and in-flight services. I look forward to see Firefly connecting more cities and communities in the future.

On 2/3/09, my son (Aidan Yusuf McAfee) & I board the flight FY 2103 from Kuala Terengganu to Subang Airport and that same day too, my son turned 3 yr old. He is a great fan of your propeller fleet, from the days of the Fokker 50 to the current ATR-72500.

Prior to that trip, I got in touch with a kind gentleman name Encik Herman Mizar Azmi of the Communication & Marketing Dept to enquire about the possibility of my son meeting the Pilot and Co Pilot at the cockpit. According to Encik Herman, it is not possible due security reason but they will arrange a surprise for him.

When we arrived, after all passengers have disembarked, Capt Azhar met us to wished Aidan a "Happy Birthday" and at the baggage area, Encik Herman & Cik Alita greeted us and gave Aidan a bag of chocolates & a model of the ATR-72500.

My husband & I, thank and appreciate Firefly's willingness to assist on that day. Our sincere gratitude to the cabin crews, Cik Zulaikha and Cik Shida and Capt Azhar & Co-Pilot Hafiz. Not forgetting, Encik Herman & Cik Alita who made it all possible.

Though he's only 3 yr old, I hope he will always remember this memorable day. Thank you FireFly

I would like to express gratitude to one of your staff, Mr. Shamsul Idzham.

I was on journey back to KL, for morning flight on 16th February 2009. I was the last person to check in at Kerteh Airport. Since all passengers and the luggage have been loaded, after the boarding pass was produced, he personally carried my luggage.

I was touched by his action, he treated the passenger politely. I’m happy with such service.

I took the flight last night from Kota Bharu to Subang. It was a very pleasant flight. The crews were very friendly. Sorry I couldn't recall their names but I think you should know who were on duty on the flight (07/02/09 - 9.30pm Kota Bharu - Subang). I have nothing to complaint about but when I was waiting for my pick-up I saw one of the girl drive carelessly while taking on the mobile. Anyway, I would definitely consider Firefly as my first option eventhough I havent had any luck to get the cheap fares. Keep it up!

My second flight with Firefly really gave me a good impression for the flight. The journey was comfortable and the crew (Shida & Sharifah) was very friendly and accommodating. Being a frequent traveler with MAS & MASwings, Firefly will be my frequent flight usage around Peninsular Malaysia.

I know Firefly a "New kid on the block", There are more room for improvements!!

Unfortunately, my enrich member is not valid for Firefly, which I think it would be a cutting advantage for the company to compete with other flight provider.

Anyways, Good luck & keep up the good work as a community flight provider for Malaysia.

I have not boarded the all new Firefly, not until yesterday. I boarded the flight from Penang to Subang, and in my honest opinion, it was the best air travel I have ever been on. Right from purchasing the ticket, to check-in counter and boarding the plane, there was not a single hiccup. The seat is spacious and VERY COMFORTABLE, unlike another so-called low cost airline that I used to board to travel to/from Penang. I remembered Firefly used to sell F&B onboard and I was surprised when the cabin crew announced that they were serving complimentary light refreshments. The front flight attendant name is NIZ and she was a good flight attendant throughout the flight. But I must also give credit to all staff of Firefly at Subang airport ticketing office and Penang airport for making me feel good about Firefly. I will definitely travel to Penang with firefly again.

However, I would appreciate if Firefly would consider bringing back the 6.00am flight from Subang to Penang as the 8.40 flight is too late for a business traveller like me. I really hope Firefly will consider this. If not the 6.00am, then maybe a bit later but no later than 8.00 am. Thanks and once again kudos! Cheerio...

I flew from Johor Bahru to Subang. Quick boarding and comfortable flight -well done!! I hope that Firefly would consider flying to Singapore from Subang. With Firefly's strategic location in Subang, without a doubt many Malaysians from PJ working in Singapore would prefer to take Firefly which would cut short their 5 hour bus journey. I understand that Firefly would have to take into consideration the interest of MAS. However, from a business point of view, I think that MAS and Firefly as a group would benefit as Firefly is merely taking the market share from Air Asia.

Last 21st Dec 08 was my second trip flying on firefly from SZB - KBR. A very comfortable and fresh fleet the ATR, well done! A very warm stewardess served me muffin and water that was enough to run my dry throat, thanks so much and I hope in the future there will be other snacks that will do much better, maybe like the MAS domestic meal. I also think listening to classical music while flying is nice. It usually takes one hour flying before touchdown, and I believe this music is nice and will give more comfortable feeling, especially for myself as I'm always flying alone. Thanks and I hope there will a very bright future for Firefly.
