Firefly creates another milestone for the third time: August 12, 2008; Firefly announced the arrival of its new aircraft – ATR72-500. The aircraft was received by the Minister of Transport, Datuk Ong Tee Keat, at an event aptly named “A Time to Remember (ATR)” at Hangar 4 of MAS Complex A.
Firefly Launches New Routes for 2008: July 3, 2008; Firefly announces its' new routes with the arrival of their first ATR 72-500 aircraft, starting from 26 October this year, after the aircraft arrives this coming August.

Firefly Raises Free Baggage Allowance to 20 kg: April 23, 2008; From 25th April 08, Firefly will increase its baggage allowance for checked baggage from 15kg to 20kg. Passengers on Firefly’s domestic and regional flights will now have the convenience of traveling with up to 20kg of checked baggage on free-of-charge basis.
